NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream squid3 package and not the squid3 package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:16.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

Squid before 3.5.6 does not properly handle CONNECT method peer responses when configured with cache_peer, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended restrictions and gain access to a backend proxy via a CONNECT request.
