How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:18.04 poppler to version 0.62.0-2ubuntu2.11 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream poppler package and not the poppler package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:18.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

The JPXStream::init function in Poppler 0.78.0 and earlier doesn't check for negative values of stream length, leading to an Integer Overflow, thereby making it possible to allocate a large memory chunk on the heap, with a size controlled by an attacker, as demonstrated by pdftocairo.
