CWE-201  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:24.04 libsoup2.4 to version 2.74.3-6ubuntu1.9 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libsoup2.4 package and not the libsoup2.4 package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:24.04 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in libsoup. After a CONNECT tunnel is established through an HTTP proxy, libsoup incorrectly attaches the Proxy-Authorization header to subsequent HTTPS requests sent through that tunnel to the destination server. This allows the destination server to capture proxy credentials, leading to information disclosure.
