NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream gegl package and not the gegl package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:24.10 relevant fixed versions and status.

An issue was discovered in GEGL through 0.3.32. The render_rectangle function in process/gegl-processor.c has unbounded memory allocation, leading to a denial of service (application crash) upon allocation failure.
