How to fix?

Upgrade Ubuntu:24.10 strongswan to version 5.9.1-1ubuntu3.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream strongswan package and not the strongswan package as distributed by Ubuntu. See How to fix? for Ubuntu:24.10 relevant fixed versions and status.

The gmp plugin in strongSwan before 5.9.4 has a remote integer overflow via a crafted certificate with an RSASSA-PSS signature. For example, this can be triggered by an unrelated self-signed CA certificate sent by an initiator. Remote code execution cannot occur.
