Amendment

This was deemed not a vulnerability.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow due to the yaml_emitter_emit_flow_sequence_item function in the /src/libyaml/src/emitter.c file. An attacker can cause a heap-based buffer overflow by manipulating the flow sequence item emission process. This vulnerability allows for remote execution of arbitrary code or denial of service (DoS) attacks.

Note:

This CVE was Rejected. Reason: This candidate was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: The maintainer identified an error in the libyaml fuzzers. It is not possible to reproduce nor exploit the issue.
