    Not Failing Securely ('Failing Open')

aiir is an AI Integrity Receipts — cryptographic receipts for commits with declared AI involvement

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Not Failing Securely ('Failing Open') in the require_signing policy gate, CI verification, release-verification, or signature-verification processes. An attacker can bypass intended verification controls by submitting unsigned, forged, or non-conforming receipts that are incorrectly treated as verified. This is only exploitable if the consumer relies on the affected verification or policy gate to enforce security requirements.

How to fix Not Failing Securely ('Failing Open')?

Upgrade aiir to version 1.7.0 or higher.
