CWE-674  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.13 tcpdump to version 4.9.3-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream tcpdump package and not the tcpdump package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.13 relevant fixed versions and status.

The BGP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 allows stack consumption in print-bgp.c:bgp_attr_print() because of unlimited recursion.
