CWE-203  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.21 darkhttpd to version 1.15-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream darkhttpd package and not the darkhttpd package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.21 relevant fixed versions and status.

darkhttpd before 1.15 uses strcmp (which is not constant time) to verify authentication, which makes it easier for remote attackers to bypass authentication via a timing side channel.
