CWE-190  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.21 exiv2 to version 0.27.2-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream exiv2 package and not the exiv2 package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.21 relevant fixed versions and status.

An integer overflow in Exiv2 through 0.27.1 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service (SIGSEGV) via a crafted PNG image file, because PngImage::readMetadata mishandles a zero value for iccOffset.
