CWE-120  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.21 libuv to version 1.39.0-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libuv package and not the libuv package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.21 relevant fixed versions and status.

The implementation of realpath in libuv < 10.22.1, < 12.18.4, and < 14.9.0 used within Node.js incorrectly determined the buffer size which can result in a buffer overflow if the resolved path is longer than 256 bytes.
