CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.22 imagemagick to version 7.0.10.31-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream imagemagick package and not the imagemagick package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.22 relevant fixed versions and status.

A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in ImageMagick in versions prior to 7.0.10-31 in ReadSVGImage() in coders/svg.c. This issue is due to not checking the return value from libxml2's xmlCreatePushParserCtxt() and uses the value directly, which leads to a crash and segmentation fault.
