CWE-276  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.23 libvirt to version 11.10.0-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libvirt package and not the libvirt package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.23 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in libvirt. External inactive snapshots for shut-down VMs are incorrectly created as world-readable, making it possible for unprivileged users to inspect the guest OS contents. This results in an information disclosure vulnerability.
