CWE-704  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.24 perl-net-netmask to version 2.0000-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream perl-net-netmask package and not the perl-net-netmask package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.24 relevant fixed versions and status.

The Net::Netmask module before 2.0000 for Perl does not properly consider extraneous zero characters at the beginning of an IP address string, which (in some situations) allows attackers to bypass access control that is based on IP addresses.
