CVE-2016-4077  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Alpine:3.3 wireshark to version 2.0.4-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream wireshark package and not the wireshark package as distributed by Alpine. See How to fix? for Alpine:3.3 relevant fixed versions and status.

epan/reassemble.c in TShark in Wireshark 2.0.x before 2.0.3 relies on incorrect special-case handling of truncated Tvb data structures, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and application crash) via a crafted packet.
