CVE-2023-44487  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Chainguard eks-distro-coredns-1.8 to version 1.8.7-r5 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream eks-distro-coredns-1.8 package and not the eks-distro-coredns-1.8 package as distributed by Chainguard. See How to fix? for Chainguard relevant fixed versions and status.

The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023.
