CWE-502  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Chainguard management-api-for-apache-cassandra-4.1 to version 0.1.89-r0 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream management-api-for-apache-cassandra-4.1 package and not the management-api-for-apache-cassandra-4.1 package as distributed by Chainguard. See How to fix? for Chainguard relevant fixed versions and status.

SnakeYaml's Constructor() class does not restrict types which can be instantiated during deserialization. Deserializing yaml content provided by an attacker can lead to remote code execution. We recommend using SnakeYaml's SafeConsturctor when parsing untrusted content to restrict deserialization. We recommend upgrading to version 2.0 and beyond.
