CWE-385  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade OpenSSL-Universal to version 3.3.3000 or higher.

Overview

OpenSSL-Universal is a complete solution to OpenSSL on iOS and OSX

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Covert Timing Channel in the ECDSA signature computation process, which allows an attacker to recover the private key.

Note: This is only exploitable if the attacker has local access to the signing application or a very fast network connection with low latency, which is required to measure the timing.
