Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow through the drwav__read_smpl_to_metadata_obj() function. An attacker can cause memory corruption by supplying a specially crafted WAV file that exploits a mismatch between sample loop count validation and processing, leading to a heap buffer overflow with attacker-controlled data via any drwav_init_*_with_metadata call on untrusted input.
