Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficiently Protected Credentials in the process that handles .netrc credential retrieval when a URL is specified with a username but without a password. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information by exploiting the incorrect association of passwords from the .netrc file for a different user on the same host.
