Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Certificate Validation in the CURLOPT_SSL_CTX_FUNCTION callback process when CA caching is enabled with the wolfSSL backend. An attacker can bypass intended trust store restrictions by presenting a certificate that is trusted by the cached store but rejected by the callback-selected store, leading to incorrect acceptance of untrusted certificates.
