CWE-416  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the channel data callbacks process when data packets are processed after a channel is closed. An attacker can cause a crash or trigger unintended behavior by sending data packets to a closed channel, resulting in the invocation of callbacks after the associated data has already been freed.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by manually verifying the channel is not closed inside your channel data callbacks.
