Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch via the checkServerIdentity function in lib/tls.js. An attacker can bypass certificate hostname checks by getting a TLS client to connect using fullwidth digits representing an IPv4 address and presenting a certificate whose DNS SAN or CN matches the ASCII-normalized address; the client then accepts a certificate that does not identify the requested IP address.
