Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the FindServers process. An attacker can cause the server to allocate excessive memory by sending a FindServersRequest with an unbounded serverUris field, delivering a very large string in multiple chunks without completing the request. This leads the server to buffer all chunks in RAM indefinitely until the SecureChannel times out, potentially resulting in resource exhaustion and denial of service. This is only exploitable if the attacker can access the Discovery Service pre-session, as the attack bypasses all encryption configuration.
