CVE-2023-38408  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-94  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection. The PKCS#11 feature in ssh-agent in OpenSSH has an insufficiently trustworthy search path, leading to remote code execution if an agent is forwarded to an attacker-controlled system.

Note:

This issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-10009.
