Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Type Confusion in the TS_RESP_verify_response() function. An ASN1_TYPE union member is accessed without first validating the type, causing an invalid or null pointer dereference when processing a malformed TimeStamp Response file. An attacker who sends such a file that does not comply with RFC 3161 can cause an interruption of service.
