Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value in PBMAC1_PBKDF2_HMAC(). A user can craft an unencrypted PKCS#12 file that uses PBMAC1 authentication specifying a one-byte HMAC key, causing a service that authenticates incoming files by password to accept the attacker's certificate and private key in 1 of 256 attempts.
