How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch via the matchName function in the C++ TSSLSocket implementation, which fails to properly validate hostnames against SSL/TLS certificates according to RFC 6125. An attacker can bypass hostname verification by exploiting wildcard handling in certificate validation, potentially enabling man-in-the-middle attacks.
