CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:10 knot to version 2.5.3-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream knot package and not the knot package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

Knot DNS before 2.4.5 and 2.5.x before 2.5.2 contains a flaw within the TSIG protocol implementation that would allow an attacker with a valid key name and algorithm to bypass TSIG authentication if no additional ACL restrictions are set, because of an improper TSIG validity period check.
