CVE-2019-17113  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-120  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:10 libopenmpt to version 0.4.3-1+deb10u1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libopenmpt package and not the libopenmpt package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:10 relevant fixed versions and status.

In libopenmpt before 0.3.19 and 0.4.x before 0.4.9, ModPlug_InstrumentName and ModPlug_SampleName in libopenmpt_modplug.c do not restrict the lengths of libmodplug output-buffer strings in the C API, leading to a buffer overflow.
