CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 libreswan to version 4.3-1+deb11u1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libreswan package and not the libreswan package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

Libreswan 4.2 through 4.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via a crafted IKEv1 packet because pluto/ikev1.c wrongly expects that a state object exists. This is fixed in 4.6.
