CWE-120  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 minidlna to version 1.2.1+dfsg-3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream minidlna package and not the minidlna package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

ReadyMedia (aka MiniDLNA) before versions 1.3.0 allows remote code execution. Sending a malicious UPnP HTTP request to the miniDLNA service using HTTP chunked encoding can lead to a signedness bug resulting in a buffer overflow in calls to memcpy/memmove.
