CVE-2013-6435  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-74  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 rpm to version 4.11.3-1.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream rpm package and not the rpm package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

Race condition in RPM 4.11.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted RPM file whose installation extracts the contents to temporary files before validating the signature, as demonstrated by installing a file in the /etc/cron.d directory.
