CWE-326  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 seafile to version 7.0.2-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream seafile package and not the seafile package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

Seafile through 6.2.11 always uses the same Initialization Vector (IV) with Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) Mode to encrypt private data, making it easier to conduct chosen-plaintext attacks or dictionary attacks.
