CVE-2003-0093  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:11 tcpdump to version 3.7.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream tcpdump package and not the tcpdump package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:11 relevant fixed versions and status.

The RADIUS decoder in tcpdump 3.6.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via an invalid RADIUS packet with a header length field of 0, which causes tcpdump to generate data within an infinite loop.
