CWE-79  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 angular.js to version 1.8.0-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream angular.js package and not the angular.js package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

angular.js prior to 1.8.0 allows cross site scripting. The regex-based input HTML replacement may turn sanitized code into unsanitized one. Wrapping "<option>" elements in "<select>" ones changes parsing behavior, leading to possibly unsanitizing code.
