How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 cscope to version 15.5-1.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream cscope package and not the cscope package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

main.c in cscope 15-4 and 15-5 creates temporary files with predictable filenames, which allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack.
