How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 cyrus-sasl2 to version 2.1.23.dfsg1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream cyrus-sasl2 package and not the cyrus-sasl2 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

Multiple buffer overflows in the CMU Cyrus SASL library before 2.1.23 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via strings that are used as input to the sasl_encode64 function in lib/saslutil.c.
