CWE-770  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 docker-registry to version 2.6.2~ds1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream docker-registry package and not the docker-registry package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

Docker Registry before 2.6.2 in Docker Distribution does not properly restrict the amount of content accepted from a user, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via the manifest endpoint.
