CWE-400  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 fscrypt to version 0.3.3-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream fscrypt package and not the fscrypt package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

fscrypt through v0.3.2 creates a world-writable directory by default when setting up a filesystem, allowing unprivileged users to exhaust filesystem space. We recommend upgrading to fscrypt 0.3.3 or above and adjusting the permissions on existing fscrypt metadata directories where applicable.
