CVE-2013-6401  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-310  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 jansson to version 2.6-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream jansson package and not the jansson package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

Jansson, possibly 2.4 and earlier, does not restrict the ability to trigger hash collisions predictably, which allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a crafted JSON document.
