NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kitty package and not the kitty package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Kitty before 0.26.2, insufficient validation in the desktop notification escape sequence can lead to arbitrary code execution. The user must display attacker-controlled content in the terminal, then click on a notification popup.
