CVE-2006-0053  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-399  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 libimager-perl to version 0.50-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libimager-perl package and not the libimager-perl package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

Imager (libimager-perl) before 0.50 allows user-assisted attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) by writing a 2- or 4-channel JPEG image (or a 2-channel TGA image) to a scalar, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference.
