CWE-347  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 libzypp to version 17.6.1-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libzypp package and not the libzypp package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

The decoupled download and installation steps in libzypp before 17.5.0 could lead to a corrupted RPM being left in the cache, where a later call would not display the corrupted RPM warning and allow installation, a problem caused by malicious warnings only displayed during download.
