CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:12 phpmyadmin to version 2.11.5.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream phpmyadmin package and not the phpmyadmin package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:12 relevant fixed versions and status.

phpMyAdmin before 2.11.5.1 stores the MySQL (1) username and (2) password, and the (3) Blowfish secret key, in cleartext in a Session file under /tmp, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information.
