CWE-20  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:13 ffmpeg to version 7:2.4.3-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ffmpeg package and not the ffmpeg package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:13 relevant fixed versions and status.

libavcodec/tiff.c in FFmpeg before 2.4.2 does not properly validate bits-per-pixel fields, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted TIFF data.
