NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ruby-rack-cors package and not the ruby-rack-cors package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:13 relevant fixed versions and status.

An issue was discovered in the rack-cors (aka Rack CORS Middleware) gem before 1.0.4 for Ruby. It allows ../ directory traversal to access private resources because resource matching does not ensure that pathnames are in a canonical format.
