CVE-2003-0989  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:13 tcpdump to version 3.8.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream tcpdump package and not the tcpdump package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:13 relevant fixed versions and status.

tcpdump before 3.8.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via certain ISAKMP packets, a different vulnerability than CVE-2004-0057.
