CWE-125  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:14 lcms2 to version 2.8-4 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream lcms2 package and not the lcms2 package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:14 relevant fixed versions and status.

The Type_MLU_Read function in cmstypes.c in Little CMS (aka lcms2) allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or cause a denial of service via an image with a crafted ICC profile, which triggers an out-of-bounds heap read.
