CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade Debian:14 newlib to version 3.3.0-1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream newlib package and not the newlib package as distributed by Debian. See How to fix? for Debian:14 relevant fixed versions and status.

The _dtoa_r function of the newlib libc library, prior to version 3.3.0, performs multiple memory allocations without checking their return value. This could result in NULL pointer dereference.
